By using Loxley you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Loxley organises collective consumer boycotts. Members propose a boycott by naming a company and an issue and writing what the company has to change; a moderator reads it and it runs. Joining is the whole commitment, and it counts from the day it is made. Choosing not to buy something, and saying publicly why, is lawful expression.
**There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Loxley.** Content that breaks these rules is removed and the account that posted it is suspended.
You must not submit, post, or transmit content that:
national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age
action of any kind
includes executives, owners, and employees. Criticise the organisation and what it does, never a human being
numbers, or workplace details
Reading Loxley requires nothing. Joining a boycott or submitting a proposal requires Sign in with Apple. Loxley receives only an opaque identifier that Apple generates for this app; it requests no name and no email address and is never sent either.
A submission names its target by picking a company from a register of SEC filers and an issue from a fixed list. Neither is free text, so the campaign that results is visible to other users immediately. Everything you write about it - the title, the case, the demands - is reviewed by a person before any other user can see it. Submissions are also screened automatically at the point of submission, and content matching prohibited terms is rejected.
You can report any content using the flag on the item, and block any member. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and repeat or serious breaches result in permanent suspension without notice.
Moderation decisions are made at Loxley's discretion. There is no obligation to publish any submission.
Your account is an identifier and nothing else. You are responsible for what is submitted from it. You may delete it at any time from Account > Delete my account, which removes it and all associated content permanently.
Loxley does not have access to any company's sales data. Impact figures are models built from publicly stated assumptions, which are disclosed in full inside the app under "How We Calculate This", combined with what members voluntarily log. They are estimates of collective intent, not measurements of any company's actual revenue, and must not be presented as such.
Projected lines on charts show what full participation would look like. They are targets, not measurements.
Boycott content names real companies and describes practices members want changed. That content is the opinion of the members who wrote it, or a statement about publicly reported facts, and is not a statement by Loxley about any company. Company names and trademarks belong to their owners, and their use here is nominative: to identify the subject of a boycott, not to suggest any affiliation with or endorsement by that company.
If you believe content about your organisation is inaccurate, contact the address below and it will be reviewed.
You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting it you grant Loxley a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and store it for the purpose of operating the app.
Loxley is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loxley and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the app. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is zero.
Access may be suspended or terminated at any time for breach of these terms.
These terms may change. Material changes will be presented in the app before you continue using it.
