Loxley Community Guidelines

These are the rules every sprint idea is judged against. A person reads every submission before anyone else can see it, and applies exactly these rules. Nothing reaches the voting board without passing them.

1. Large companies only

A target must be a conglomerate or a major corporation. As a working line, it must be taking hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

Small businesses, local shops, independent traders, franchisees, and individual store locations are never valid targets, however strongly you feel about them. The point of a collective boycott is to move something that can absorb the pressure and choose to change. A local business cannot, and pointing a crowd at one does real harm to people who have no power to give you what you are asking for.

Submissions that name a small or local business are rejected.

2. Never a person

Never target, name, or identify an individual. Not an executive, not a founder, not an owner, not an employee, not a customer, not a member of anyone's family.

This holds even when the person is well known, even when the company is effectively one person, and even when the criticism is fair. Criticise the company and the practice. Say what the company should change and why.

Submissions that name or point at a person are rejected.

3. Non-participation only

Loxley supports one tactic: not buying something. That is the whole method.

Not buying is legal, peaceful, and entirely yours to decide. Everything else is outside what this app is for. There is zero tolerance, ever, for:

gender, sexuality, disability, or age

Zero tolerance means the submission is removed and the account is suspended. There is no warning step for this one.

4. Support what you claim

Say what the company does, what it should do instead, and why you believe it. Ideas built on something checkable get approved. Rumour does not.

5. No spam

Do not submit the same idea repeatedly, and do not submit in volume to crowd the board. Submissions are limited per person per day.

Reporting and appeals

Report anything you see from the item itself. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can block any member from their content.

If your submission was rejected and you think the decision was wrong, submit a corrected version that answers the reason you were given.
